Princess MAKA DADIANI, born in Georgia, is a member of the royal dynasty of Mingrelia. She acquired her passion for painting at the prestigious Pushkin State Institute in Tbilisi, Georgia, where she graduated with honours. In search of new forms of expression, she developed a special technique to achieve three-dimensional effects. The artist also became known for her portraiture. In addition to many prominent personalities, there was also a portrait of His Royal Highness King Juan Carlos of Bourbon of Spain. The portrait has been kept in the collection of the Palacio de La Zarzuela in Madrid since 2011.
Today, MAKA DADIANI is supported by the Swiss Artist - Way Foundation based in Saint-Legier La Chiesaz. She lives and works in Zurich.
