The luminosity of the colours and their application are just two aspects that make the works of Michael Urtz (* 1952). On the canvas he creates a exciting relationship between lines and surfaces. Nevertheless a certain strictness and rigour despite all spontaneity and free composition harmony in the composition of the picture and the colours. The artist appreciates acrylic paints that offer a multi-toned spectrum - with a brilliant, clear luminosity.
Michael Urtz studied with Prof. KRH Sonderborg at the Staatliche Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart. He lives and works in Stuttgart.
