MARC FROMM (*1971, in Langen) studierte nach seiner Ausbildung zum Schreiner Bildhauerei an der Burg Giebichenstein Kunsthochschule in Halle, «da man hier so gut wie an keiner anderen Hochschule die menschliche Figur zeichnerisch und plastisch studieren kann».
Er studierte außerdem an der École des Beaux Arts in Bordeaux. Bis heute ist die menschliche Figur in ihrem sich rasant verändernden sozialen Gefüge der Ausgangspunkt seiner Motive. Die Auseinandersetzung mit Grundthemen und den Widersprüchen unserer Zeit, dem Wahnsinn des Alltags, findet in großen Holzskulpturen und Lindenholzreliefs ihren Ausdruck.

MARC FROMM (*1971, in Langen) studied sculpture at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design in Halle after training as a carpenter, “because here you can study the human figure in drawing and sculpture better than at any other university”.
He also studied at the École des Beaux Arts in Bordeaux. To this day, the human figure in its rapidly changing social structure is the starting point for his motifs. His exploration of fundamental themes and the contradictions of our time, the madness of everyday life, is expressed in large wooden sculptures and limewood reliefs.
