Nails and thread on wooden panels in plexiglas
130 x 130 cm

Nemo Jantzen, born in 1970 in The Hague, studied art, design and photography at the RTO Art Academy in Rotterdam. After his studies he moved to Antwerp to work as a graphic designer and poster artist, and at the same time he continues to develop his style as a visual artist. In his new works, the Dutch artist combines a very unique technique. Instead of working with traditional materials, he draws his works using only nails and continuous thread. He places hundreds of stainless steel nails on a wooden board and connects the threads from nail to nail until they become three-dimensional. Depending on the incidence of light, the perspective changes and amazes the visitor. This remarkable "way of painting" has aroused great interest among his art collectors.
